are you scared

Ok I know I'm obsessed with a ton of things right now. Batwing, knitting, furry things, balloon-dc pants, shreds etc. etc. just add one more thing to the neverending list... "nature" tshirts. I still have yet to find a smart name for them, but The Mountain brand basically covers it. Wolves, big cats, horses, unicorns, and Native American images are my favorite at the mo'

Jeans, Topshop. T-shirt, The Mountain. Rings, Iosselliani. Beanie, RVCA. Shoes, KORS Michael Kors.

ummhello

This is an oldie from finals week before holiday break happened. I just found it on my phone. I rarely ever wear sweats...but here I am slacking off in the midst of finals week, donning comfy old gray sweatpants. Oh and even during exams I was knitting. I spent quite a few hours knitting an entire yarn ball into a longass (read: like fifteen feet long) rectangle instead of studying. Surprisingly, it doesn't look that long after its been wrapped around like four times here.

Aaah and new years is days away, whose been working on their resolutions? Wanna share?

PS: Can everyone see my blog ok? I have a widescreen laptop and it looks fine from where I am, but on another computer some of my photos were cut off...

not a diamond ring, right?

The Landver spike onyx ring. This could definitely be used as a weapon, I can see it now:

A girl walks alone stumbling on her sky-high heels down a dark, dark alley way, trying to make her way to the nearest street to hail a taxi. After a late night out, she appears more or less in tact. Just a few extra rips in her tights and some splatters on her black satin. She wears her Landver spike onyx ring. As she continues down the alley, she is dimly aware of being followed; the substances consumed still hazing over all sensory input. The sights and sounds of the street are yards away, she quickens her pace just in case. He does the same. She is completely alert now. She hears him mutter a grotesque pick-up line. He's only a few feet away. Then she feels a grab on her shoulder. Her reflexes tell her to scream, but instead she balls the Landver ring-ed hand into a fist and throws her best punch. As she darts away, she hears cries of pain echoing in the alley.

Hope that story was mildly entertaining. Ta-ta for now...

scanned

The vacation commences. Further proof that I have done nothing productive thus far over holiday break...I decided to scan myself and other random things I had lying around for your (read: and I guess my own) viewing pleasure. Oh and if you have not tried the Covergirl Amazemint lipglosses, I highly recommend them. At $6 a pop, they are affordable (hiiii, recession) and they freshen your breath. Mmmm, two for yo monay!

PS: I hate lipgloss so trust me when I say I like these.

knits and kittens

Besides sleeping and surfing the www during break, I have also been knitting. Apparently it prevents Alzheimer's disease and is a million times cheaper than buying scarves. I guess it is more time consuming too, oi opportunity costs. Right now all I can do is use a really basic stitch to make longass rectangles (read: scarves). I'm going to try my hand at making a fuzzy black beanie next, wish me luck. I need to go shop for yarn and special needles...

Oh and I want a kitty. To make that clichéd kitty chasing yarn ball picture. Mmm I am shallow.

batwing

Really really really liking batwing, oversized tops at the moment. And anything cape-like is fantastic for that matter.

I recently made a list of things I needed to buy and eventually wanted and the list is huge. Like embarassingly so, and I'm not even close to finished. I made it on Onenote which is incredibly handy because I have pictures to go along in case I forget what I'm talking about (read: Mac users probably have no idea what I'm talking about). I'm excited to start crossing stuff off the list. For those of you who don't know, I love making lists and crossings things off of them, the feeling is just so good...

Oh and I have officially been on holiday break since Friday afternoon last week and my days have consisted of sleeping for ten to twelve hours a day (read: I would like to justify this by saying I slept a small fraction of that time when classes were in session and that this making up for lost time), playing ping pong with a machine, and surfing the www.

twilight

Everyone's still obsessed, right? I think my interest in fantastic, mythical things is a form of escapism. Mmmm and I want to start a massive ring collection now. There's all types of finger pretties to be found, especially because of the crafty people on Etsy.

asian nom-noms

One of the the few things I ventured out to do this Thxgiving break was visit the local Asian grocer (read: I slept 12-14 hours/day every day of break so between religiously re-reading Twilight and looking up randoms on the www, there wasn't much time to do much else).

Next week = finals week. I have four finals in a span of 25 hours; all crammed into Thursday and Friday next week. Mmmm joy. But at least I can look forward to a month of break. Another upper is that I will have absolutely no worries over break, or plans for that matter. Someone want to fund plane tix to somewhere fabulous?
