knits and kittens

Besides sleeping and surfing the www during break, I have also been knitting. Apparently it prevents Alzheimer's disease and is a million times cheaper than buying scarves. I guess it is more time consuming too, oi opportunity costs. Right now all I can do is use a really basic stitch to make longass rectangles (read: scarves). I'm going to try my hand at making a fuzzy black beanie next, wish me luck. I need to go shop for yarn and special needles...

Oh and I want a kitty. To make that clichéd kitty chasing yarn ball picture. Mmm I am shallow.

  11. I love the loose knit of that white scarf you're working on! I only know how to crochet, but everytime I see a hat or scarf I like, it's knitted! I need to learn.

  12. That pretty much sums up my winter break as well! Except I completely failed at learning how to knit, but have crocheted 3 (and another one on the way) circle scarves. I love the yarn you use.

Your cats are adorable by the way!

  17. Hm, I missed some episodes of Stylista here and there but I thought it was good since I'm all into that stuff. I actually had an interest in working for a fashion magazine. :)

Thanks for visiting on and commenting on my site! :)

  18. i forgot to add, the shirt says RIP on the left side and YSL on the right. This website (i forgot, its on fashionista.com) tried to make a tribute to the late Yves Saint Laurent but I find it kind of tacky. lol

  24. Yes I love knitting too! I found a book in the library once with all sorts of knitting patterns, and it's not hard at all, you just have to practice ^-^ I made my mittens myself, they're great :)

  25. I used to knit, but my scarves never turned out well. I think I'm better at a looser knit than a tighter one, I guess...

Oh my, knitting is so much harder than I thought. I made my first nice scarf this year and it was a process and a half. Yours is looking so soft and cozy.
