So I have a thing for ruffles. Always have, always will. I put together this outfit a bazillion days ago. Those sunglasses aren't even on the F21 site anymore, and I'm not sure about the dress.

Details: Forever21 dress and sunglasses. Chrishabana earrings. Dannijo ring. Iosseliani stacked rings. Allsaints clutch bag. Giles&Brother railroad spike cuff. Frye sandals. Mulberry tote bag.

bullet pendants

Ordered a few more of these bullet pendants on Ebay. They are cheap! What's really cool about this one is that you can screw the cap off and it's hollow inside. You could easily store a gram of um, something...

Oh and apparently I'm on Twitter now, so feel free to follow my mundane existence, haha.

Studs are still bangin' and all, but I think grommets deserve some recognition too. I mean, they do show more skin, hah.

Tomorrow is move-in day so I need to put the finishing touches on my b2s packing. I use this black storage locker that I ordered from Wallyworld. It's superb. My brother keeps saying it looks like I'm rolling (note: it has wheels!) around heavy artillery or something, like in the movies.

Details: Opening Ceremony cardigan, dress, leggings, and booties. Yellow Box flats. Alexander McQueen leather cuff. Stimpson 405 hand press grommet machine. See by Chloe top. Alexander Wang sweatshirt and tank. Ebay grommet cuff. LAMB gold sandals. Miss Selfridge skirt.

pretty polly x henry holland

Say hello to Henry Holland's creations for Pretty Polly tights. There is a very good reason to get the alphabet ones. I need to re-learn the alphabet. These would be an integral part of my education. Fourteen dinero is nothing compared to the $9467123478 I'm already paying for this semester's textbooks...

mint chocolate kiss cupcake

Edit: My photobucket is down until the 26th. So I reuploaded some photos to imageshack, please bear with me in the meantime.

Minty fresh! These are mint chocolate kiss cupcakes. They contain a generous dose of peppermint extract, tons of crushed mint Oreos, a bit of green food coloring, and a "surprise" Hershey's milk chocolate kiss center. And the combination is divine, they taste like mint chocolate chip ice cream cake when you freeze them. Super fun to make, too.

I am in a serious cupcake-baking frenzy right now; don't know what it is. I like the idea of reinventing classic foods/drinks and channeling them into a cupcake recipe. How do piƱa colada cupcakes sound? Caramel apple? Strawberry cheesecake? They will become reality. Ahem, in the not-so-distant future...

I am so ready for cooler weather. Being able to layer just makes everything you wear that much better. Who's with me?

cool streets

Cool streets is right. There's a point where all the black leather on top of black leather on top of more black leather, pyramid studs, ratty t-shirts, sequins/glitter, body con and layers upon layers of chains gets to be absolute overkill when thrown on all together. People should realize this. This editorial is a prime example of how moderation is sometimes greater than excess.

In other news, I'm gearing up to move back into my dorm and get back into student mode. Trying to get educated here. Wish me luck...?

"Her textile designs are created from, new, recycled and vintage fabrics which she deconstructs and meticulously fuses together into textural, innovative, and colourful abstract pieces by using a wide range of textile techniques and embroidery as a mode of painting with texture."

Anita's inspirations include Monet, Gustav Klimt, and nature. Can you see it? I certainly can.

hi there cupcake

Betty Crocker spice cake baking mix + a few cups of grated carrot, a couple extra teaspoons of cinnamon, cream cheese frosting, a handful of pecans/mixed nuts thrown into the blender, and a little heat = nutty spice carrot cupcakes. All I can say is, Betty Crocker is an amazing woman.

Paisley can be good, in small doses, I think...? Still obsessing over these Doc Martens oxfords, pretty sure the rest of the world hates them (outside of the fash microcosm, that is), but you know, I tend to have a certain fondness for things that the majority of people abhor.

Oh and I found this jewelry designer like a week ago, the name's Diana Warner. She makes some really nice things, and they're not astronomically priced, + you can get 30% off everything on the site using the code dailycandy30. You're welcome, hah.

Details: F21 paisley dress. Diana Warner "rachael branch" and "vintage clasp hinge" bracelets. CC Skye pave pyramid studs. Casio calculator watch. All Saints beanie. Doc Martens "camille" oxford. Stella Mccartney blazer. Moyna skull foldover clutch.

you better learn to crawl

Hauntingly pretty Daul and some updates to the yard sale. Click to shop, I need the fundsszzz!

As funny as this may sound, I have had enough of summer. I want to get back to uni and classes, get some order back into my life, and get educated, hah.

In other news, I've made a pact with myself to stop cutting my hair for a year and just let it grow. My hair grows at a glacial pace... I'm super jealous of the girls who can have long hair without even trying. So I'm just going to buckle down, and eat supplements and hope. Does anyone have any idea what supplements you're supposed to take, by the way?
