I think it's safe to say that the Doc Martens "camille" oxford will be met with one of two reactions: wuv or ew. In my case, it's wuv! Want the black pair; there's no doubt in my mind that they will come in handy and add a little bit of polish in my wardrobe.

koi fish

And the photos from China continue. These were taken at Thousand Islets Lake (read: yes a lake with 1000+ little islands on it, I believe it's manmade but don't quote me on that one) in Hangzhou. It's so nice out there; more than words can express. There were ponds with hundreds of koi fish in them. When it's feeding time, the fish all crowd up near the surface and make slurping sounds. It's amazing, and a bit scary to see so many all at once.

these are my hands

This is some of the jewelry I've been playing with lately. Interestingly enough, I paid next to nothing for all of it. The stack of rings on my ring finger probably cost less than $10 total, and the rest of what I'm wearing were gifts from my aunt (read: from her travels in Tibet and Vietnam).

desert native

There's something about patchwork jeans and big fuzzy furry cardigans... The other day I bought some soft, fuzzy light pink yarn on a complete whim. I'm not sure what I'm going to be knitting, maybe a huge circle scarf? I only know the most basic knit so I can't handle anything too complicated, hah.

defying gravity

This cord lamp seems to challenge the theory of gravity. Mmm after all, it's just a theory, right? Also, an old outfit from earlier this summer; a time before it felt like venturing outside was like walking on the sun (and you feel like sweating off your skin, ew haha).

Today I'm going to go ship some packages, pester the MAC store about the MAC x Jin Soon nail lacquer collection, and check out what my local shopping mall has to offer. What is everyone else up to?

Tshirt + jeans = comfy ez outfit!!!! I'm kind of really excited about the MAC x Jin Soon nail lacquers. The "beyond jealous" color is described as a blackened blue green, uhhh so cool. Alllacqueredup.com has swatches of three colors from the collection. Mmm the "dry martini" color is looking pretty nice, too. I want.

china cat

I promised to share some of the 2000+ photos I took in China, but I forgot, until now. The dozing kittycat was discovered outside of a traditional house in Hangzhou (note the dynasty-era style lock on the door).

This top I bought in Zhengzhou reads: "what to focus on" and the word in the middle of the target says "happy". The day I bought this top I learned that I absolutely fail at haggling! The salesgirl said it was 80 yuan and I managed to get it down to 60, about 10 bucks. Feeling pretty pleased with myself, I told my cousin about it and she told me that everyone knew that the prices in that area are grossly inflated and I could have easily gotten the top for one-fourth of the asking price, 20 yuan, like 3 dollars...
